Le Tournage des Aventuriers... / The Making of Raiders...

Ce 16 septembre 2011 marque jour pour jour le trentième anniversaire de la sortie française des Aventuriers de l'Arche Perdue. Outre l'ouvrage de Rinzler et Bouzereau déjà référencé ici, voici les publications qui se sont penchés sur le tournage du film.
On the 30th birthday of Raiders of the Lost Ark Ark' release, these are the publications devoted to the making of the movie (except the book from Rinzler and Bouzereau already mentionned in this blog).

Commençons par le Cinefex de l'époque qui revient notamment sur le travail de Richard Edlund aux effets visuels, Chris Walas aux effets maquillage et Mike Pangrazio aux peintures sur verre.From the Cinefex comes an article about the visual effects from Richard Edlund, the special make up effects from Chris Walas and the matte paintings from Mike Pangrazio.

Le American Cinematographer donne la parole à : Steven Spielberg qui évoque ses objectifs et souvenirs de tournage, Douglas Slocombe le directeur photo, Richard Edlund le responsable des effets visuels et un long entretien avec Glenn Randall le coordinateur cascades.On ressent nettement dans ses propos la volonté de Spielberg de ne pas renouveler les erreurs d'enfant gâté de 1941.Un story board trés préparé et scrupuleusement suivi au tournage, s'entourer d'une équipe habituée à bosser ensemble (Star Wars 1 et 2,Superman...) ne pas se couvrir inutilement et passer rapidement à la prise de vue suivante (jusqu'à 35 plans en une seule journée) et c'est ainsi que les 87 jours de tournage prévus sont devenus 73 au final.Un numéro très richement illustré.
